Q: I'm still confused. Just how does FindsYou work?

Q: How do I post the stuff I have for sale?
A: You don't. You search the listings or Create Alerts which tell you when what you have is wanted. There are plenty of places you can post your stuff for sale. Use them too.
Q: How much will it cost me?
A: Nothing and we don't make money in any sneaky ways either!
Q: How long before I get a response to a post?
A: Response times may be slow at the start but they will build up quickly as more join. The more Wants posted, the more Sellers join, the faster the response, so spread the word.
Q: What's the form on contacting Posters?
A: See the link to 'Some Rules' on the Home Page.
Contact them for what they want or very close to it. If they want a house, don't sell them Life Insurance, but if they want a new car, a nearly new demo car might be of interest. Use common sense.
Q: How do I exchange files and photographs if relevant?
A: These can be sent via the Mailbox or by regular e mail if disclosed. Don't send inappropriate stuff though. Not everyone finds photocopier bum shots amusing.
Q: How can I be sure that the person I am dealing with is being honest?
A: You can't, in the same way as you can't in any other service. Take the usual precautions about safe trading and report anything dodgy to us. If you need advice, get in touch and we'll help.
Q: How do I report abuse?
A: Click the "report " button on the posting and we will look into it. For other abuse, tell us and we'll sort it out.
Q: Do you sell my personal data?
A: No. You control your data.
Q: I have ideas or feedback for your site?
A: Send them in - they are welcome. Contact us through My FindsYou.
Q: I specialise in a Category, how can I get involved?
A: Get in touch and let's have a chat.
Q: I am being bombarded by emails and SMS messages.
A: Review the Want or Alert by editing it in My FindsYou. Limit the responses you get per week, or be more specific in the posting. If the e mails are spam, tell us and we'll stop it.
Q: How does FindsYou make money?
A: We don't at the moment. We won't charge anything until the service is very useful, and it will be up to users to determine whether its useful to them with no commitment in advance. You don't have to trust us, we'll trust you. That's the shape of our plans. Any charges will be tiny and for most members we may leave it up to them to pay or not. Sounds weird? Not really. Why pay for something which you don't know the value to you?
